Greetings all!

I received the following letter in the post today (12/6/99). Lorraine Andrews is in charge of the "official" GOS information bureau in the UK. Her name has appeared on numerous CDs. In other words, the news is directly from the O'Sullivan camp and Gilbert! Thanks Lorraine for sending me the info!

Gilbert O'Sullivan Information

Hello everyone and a Happy New Year,

Well 1999 as you will have gathered has been quite regarding Gilbert. This is because he had a sinus operation earlier in the year and as a result he has not been able to work. However you will be pleased to know that he resumed recording his new album at the end of October and is currently working on new tracks. I spoke to Gilbert's brother Kevin, yesterday and it is hoped that the album will be out late spring.

There are a couple of fans needing help with penfriends:

Ken Dodd has been a fan since the early 70s and he is looking for a penpal that he used to write to then but has lost contact as she has moved address. Finally many of you have asked about sending Christmas cards to Gilbert. As usual post them to me and I will make sure that he gets them.
