News from the GOS Information Service- October 1998

RE:
New Maxi CD Single from Park Records,
Two Japanese Releases, and new LP tracks
with long-time music arranger Laurie Holloway!

The long awaited single "Ain't No Telling (What Tomorrow Will Bring)" will be released on October 26th. The catalogue number is PRKCD412. The song is a remix of the single released in Austria for the National Ski Championships so if you have the original the UK release is different. The single also has a further two remixes from 'SSM',"Dosen't It Make You sick"' and "Break A Leg." Order your copy now from all good record shops!!!!!

For the collectors amongst you Japan has released a new best of album which features a previously unreleased new song:"I Have My Coat To Keep Me Warm." The title is simply 'The Greatest Hits' and is available on import on the Kitty label, catalogue number KTCM1098.

Japan is also to release a further album before Christmas. The album is a compilation of 20 of Gilbert's love songs and is titled 'Love Songs Gilbert O'Sullivan'.The album is again on the Kitty label but as yet I do not have the catalogue number.

Many of you have written to ask how many people there are in the GOS Information Service, there are around 300 regular writers with a further 200 on the mailing list. The majority of these are from the UK but there is also a big following from the rest of Europe and we receive many letters from America, Australia and Canada where there are some truly ardent fans.

Finally I spoke to Gilbert on Sunday 27th. September and he told me that he has just finished recording 10 new tracks with Laurie Holloway and these will be used for his new album to be released next year in the UK.

Best wishes
Lorraine
