Memorabilia Lost & Found!

This banner was recently unearth at the house where I grew up!

In 1973, I was one of the many Gilbert fan's who attended his NYC concert. The banner, a poster and a concert book (which I still have) where available to fans. I remember that a girl from the audience gave GOS a daisy (a purple one called maisy) after he sang "In My Hole". Naturally, my "O'Sullivan/anglophile-mania" was in full swing by this time and I was purchasing only his British MAM albums (anybody remember those things?) and I would buy MM (Melody Maker) each week to find out anything about him!

It's hard to believe that it was 24 years ago! Sadly, it been 24 years since Gilbert's last Big Apple performance! So, Ray hopefully 1998 will be the year that you come back visit with those DAMN YANKEES. I promise, we won't bite! Whatta say?
